Sponsoring the 2008 Women Build House

Women Build 2008 is in full swing! Since SeƱoritas and Margaritas, we here at HHfH have been working to secure funding for our Women Build home. We have two ways for those who are interested in sponsorship to get involved.

One option is Women Building a Legacy where sponsors are asked to donate $10,000, personally on behalf of their organization, or donate $1,000 and ask nine friends or business partners to match the donation. Our other option is the Friendship Power of Ten Challenge. For this program we ask participants to donate $10 and challenge nine friends to match their contribution.

Sponsors can be as creative as they want to be to raise money in a way that best suits their available time and resources. It can be as simple as asking nine friends for donations or as involved as a small fundraising dinner party for a group of girlfriends. If your place of work permits, you can set up a donations box in your office, or organize a lunch for your coworkers and ask for a donation in exchange for the meal. At church you can ask for donations from fellow church-goers, or organize a Sunday tea after the service for the church’s women and ask for the donation there. For other ideas, ask us! We are more than happy to work with anyone who wants to get involved.

By sponsoring the Women Build 2008 home, you will be spreading the message to friends and family about HHfH and the difference it makes in the lives of our homeowners and our community. With these donations, we can meet our goal for the Women Build house and possibly be well on our way to our 2008 house goal. The power of your donation will directly impact whether one more family gets a home this year. The need is great, but it can be met. Women can be part of the solution—one house, one family at a time.
